ANTIFLU outreach meeting took place on 17 November 2015 in Berlin

The ANTIFLU public workshop was held on 17 November 2015 at the Harnack House of the Max Planck Society in Berlin. At this public outreach meeting, the ANTIFLU Consortium presented with several keynotes its approach and strategies for generating new effective host directed anti-influenza drugs and raised awareness about host directed therapy.

The workshop took place in the frame of the “Host-directed therapy – New ways of curing infections” Symposium organised by the foundation Stiftung Focus Biomet and the Max Planck Institute. In total, about 90 international scientists and industry experts in the fields of infection diseases, RNAi, CRIPSR/Cas9 technology, and bioinformatics from Europe, India, Israel and the US participated in the ANTIFLU public workshop.

The event successfully increased awareness about the ANTIFLU project and host directed therapy while also facilitating exchange of information on this topic among the international scientific community and the industry.
